A home renovation

Image
Last week, I was fortunate to get a great listing near Willow Lawn and it sold first day on the market because my clients, Dawn & Scott did such an excellent job with the renovation. Dawn shared with me before pictures that she took and I have posted the afters! Such a cute Cape! Before Living Room After Living Room Before Dining Room After Dining Room Before Kitchen After Kitchen Before Kitchen After Kitchen Before Bathroom After Bathroom Also, many thanks to Mary with Montague Media & Marketing  for helping me with the photos. I know her photos also contributed to this quick sale.

What a great week! With three real estate closings and my listing  going under contract first day on the market, I certainly can't complain. I also picked up "Betty" yesterday. You may remember her from this post. Am I crazy to love this needlepoint picture so much? Stay tuned for a post this week on her new location at our house! Found these cute eggs in the Dollar Bin at Target (2 for $1). I picked up three packs and found Clyde lining them up on the floor yesterday saying "Chicks, Chicks." Hopefully they will make it to Easter.  Lands End is finally having their Friends & Family sale and everything is 30% off. I have had items in my cart for weeks waiting for it. Picked up these cute shorts for Clyde in green, yellow and red and this cute skirt & a top for Camille.  Also, won a ticket to the Virginia Wine Expo and I think my friend, Melissa, and I are going to check it out tomorrow. I need some new wines in my life so I am excited.  Here goes with

Shew ... whoever said planning a wedding is stressful was RIGHT! Good grief ...  I always said I would never be the stressed out bride.  I would be the "go with the flow" never crazy or bitchy, just excited and happy ...  Welllll, that bird has flown the coup friends .. I am officially stressed!  (of course not crazy or bitchy though..yet! ha!) hahahahaha this is hysterical! Don't fret, this is not me, there are probably only about 3 people in the world I would actually like to punch in the throat, and they have nothing to do with the wedding lol!!  (and no no no I won't name them, I'm not talking bad about people for lent this year ha)  I think it is all the small little details that I am stressing about (not to mention I have OCD) and then also just getting things done in a timely manner when you work 60 hours a week and try to have a life at the same time, makes things a little more difficult too.  Plus don't even get me started on how expensive all this st

Camille's new desk

I picked up a new desk / dressing table for Camille at Class and Trash last December. Last weekend, I got around to painting it. Here she is before!  Here is my inspiration pic from BHG January 2013 issue And here she is after I free hand painted the design on the drawers so it is far from perfect.  I used two different sized biscuit cutters to create the polka dots Add caption Here is the run down on the project..... First, I did one coat of primer with Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 . Next, I used three cans of RustOleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X in Gloss Candy Pink . After it dried overnight, I free hand painted the design on the drawers and then used two different sized biscuit cutters for the polka dots. The white paint I had on hand from Michaels. Camille was so excited about the finished product. She immediately put all her make up on top. This picture is her styling.  And do you spy the mirror from the Goochland Goodwill . I am still trying to figure out the treatment for t
