Boscov's

I have been on a search for cotton long sleeve pajamas for Clyde for the past few days. I hate paying too much for jammies and when googling Carter's pajamas I found a bunch at Boscovs.com . They have free shipping with a $50 order so I ended up getting a few for Camille as well. We ended up with 6 pairs for a little over $50. I have never been to the website before but it looks like there could be some deals on there for other items as well.

Clyde's First Birthday

Image
Clyde celebrated his 1st birthday over the weekend and we had an alligator themed party for him. I found these cute invitations on clearance at Paperstyle.com. They were $12 for 20 and I printed them myself to save money. My grandmother found this cute dish at Marshalls for $6.99 that I used for my centerpiece. I googled alligator stickers and ran across these personalized stickers on etsy . My sister helped me make cupcake toppers. I also added them to the favor bags that includes homemade alligator shaped sugar cookies. I splurged on the Lilly Lator Gator napkins and plates but bought only a few and supplemented with more affordable paper products. Now to the outfits...I found Clyde's at a consignment sale last January. It was $10. Clyde was not wild about all the birthday attention. Here he is with my grandmother, Gigi. Camille's outfit was I think the cutest thing she has ever worn. My mom found it at Gymboree and my grandmother bought her matching shoes.

Menu Planner & Lands End Polos on Sale

Clyde's 1st birthday was yesterday. We had lots of fun at his alligator party. I will post details soon. Sunday - Nacho Bread Pizzas (Michael and I think it would be good to add avocado as topping next time) Monday - Paula Deen Chicken Florentine Pasta Bake (this makes a ton so you may want to half it) Tuesday - Zucchini Wrapped Pork , Risotto, Asparagus Wednesday - Giada Cheesy Baked Tortellini Thursday - Wine Club (Night out) My friend Lindley told me about Lands End Polos that are on sale at Sears. Michael got 4 polos today for $11.15 each because they are 30% off and then an extra $2.50 off if you buy 3 or more. I didn't realize that Sears had a section with Lands End for women, men and kids. There was cute stuff.

Yard Sale Proceeds Almost Gone!

Image
Amazing how quickly I have blown through $300...here are some of the fun things I purchased. * Step 2 Fun Flow Play Sink for Camille * Vtech Hammer Fun Learning Truck , Wheel Pals: Cushy Cruisin' School Bus , Vtech Zoom Zoom Racer all for Clyde's 1st Birthday this weekend. *Toys R Us water shoes for Clyde this summer. * Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener . I love this product and it is now in a portable pen format as opposed to a little jar. The jar lasted me for at least a year...I hope this will too. The pen is nice because it includes a brush. * Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Sand Dollar. Also, love this product....very quick and easy to apply. *2 Pairs of Shoes from Urban Outfitters...see below. $19.99 each. *2 Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts in Pink and White from Marshalls. $24.99 each. *2 T-shirts, 3 tank tops and 1 pair of khaki shorts from the Jcrew Outlet Not too bad for around $300.

Weekend recap

We had a great but busy weekend. Tons of people came to our yard sale and I made a little over $300 bucks. Yards sales are fun and my sisters and I were laughing that we put 8:00 am as the start time and at 7:30 am the yard was packed with buyers. In fact, the first person arrived at 6:15! Yesterday morning, I slept in until 8:30 am. It felt like noon. And then enjoyed hot Krispy Kremes. Yum! Michael, Camille and Clyde got me a "guilt-free" day at the spa. So I can't wait to book those appointments. We went to Williamsburg for the day with my mom and Michael's family. It was fun. We aren't having anything for dinner this week worthy of blogging about. Tacos, Macaroni Beef Bake (carryover from last week), Homemade Pizza, Chicken Breasts with Cous Cous and Squash/Zucchini.

Yard Sale Saturday

Image
Last weekend, I braved the heat of my attic and did some major cleaning. It was a huge mess up there and I can't believe that I have accumulated so much stuff. I moved it all down to my living room and dining room. It is all priced and ready for a yard sale on Saturday. My sisters are also participating so there will be tons of stuff. If you live in Richmond and are intested in coming, send me an email and I will get you the address. Yikes!

Walmart Deal

Image
I found these cute shorts and shirt for Camille at Walmart today. One of the reasons I no longer do my grocery shopping at Walmart is because I always drift into the other departments of the store. Today was no exception. They had more colors too that were super cute. The top and bottoms were $6 each. They are by Healthtex and I didn't see them posted online.

Deceptively Delicious

Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious book has been around for a while but I found a copy at Marshall's last week for $5 and decided to buy it. I am glad I did. The tricks are not really working on Camille but Clyde likes everything I've prepared. I made Rice Balls with sweet potato and broccoli puree and he likes them. He also loves the banana bread with cauliflower puree. I made the chocolate chip cookies with chickpeas and they were so -so but Clyde likes them. Making all the purees is a little labor intensive but now I have some stored in the freezer for future recipes. I am still offering veggies because I want him to learn to eat them but for now I am sneaking them in.
