Camille turns 4 at Kangaroo Jacs!

Image
Camille insisted on having her 4th birthday party at Kangaroo Jacs . For those of you not familiar, it is a warehouse full of inflatables. I wasn't sure what to do for the invitation so I put Kangaroo in the search line on Etsy and found  this cute birthday card with a striped kangaroo in a party hat. I emailed Ryan from MAN vs GEORGE  and an invitation and stickers were designed based on this kangaroo. I am so happy with how it turned out and Ryan was awesome! From there, I decided to use this invitation as inspiration for the party. I found cute vinyl table clothes on sale from the summer line at  Target from $1 to $2.50. I bought the plates and napkins there as well. Then I found cute striped goodie bags to match the napkins and a banner from Target as well. I cut tags from cardstock and added the stickers. Inside the goodie bags, I added  a color your own cutout from the Dollar Tree as well as two pixie sticks, a lollipop and a...

Michael's Birthday

Image
Camille, Clyde and I threw Michael a lunch time birthday party! The kids had a great time and Camille asked Michael...."Daddy, is this your best birthday ever?". To which he of course replied "yes!".  We had Chocolate Chip Cake with Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing ! We had party hats! Yes..that is a bruise on Clyde's face. He is all boy and fearless so constantly has bumps & bruises! A good time was had  by all! We didn't splurge on a sitter this year, so I made dinner for us. Click here to see our menu. I am not a big fan of shrimp (really I don't like it and never eat it) but Michael loves it so I decided to give it a whirl for his birthday. Still not a fan but I did manage to try a few pieces. I got these plates for free from a friend of my Mom's. I think they are so neat.

Gammy's Birthday Dinner

Image
Last night, my sisters and I made dinner for our mom for her birthday. It was fun. Here are some pictures of my table settings. I cut tags out of grocery bags and then used a stencil to write relevant words and numbers...my mom's age, birthday, her grandmother name, Gammy. Then I tied them around the napkin and silverware with brown ribbon. I had the placemat and usually think of them for spring and summer but I thought they had a rustic fall look in this case. The leaves are from my yard and the pumpkins are leftover from Halloween. Don't forget to look in your yard for FREE greenery when decorating & entertaining. Save money on flowers. The kids table....I found these cute placemats at TJMaxx for $2.99 each. I used our leftover Dollar Tree toy label supplies and let Camille and Clyde make these signs for Gammy. It is sorta like a word scramble!
