I have picked up a few things over the past few weeks....some deals and some splurges. First up, I kept reading about Rag & Bone jeans and how comfortable and wonderful they were. So I splurged with Christmas money and purchased the Skinny in Kensington . I wear jeans so frequently that I don't feel bad spending the extra dollars to get a nice pair. Don't get me wrong...I am a total cheapo and have 4 pairs of the $10 Forever21 jean s. Which are great by the way but you can definitely tell the difference once you get a nice pair. I have worn holes in the toes of my gold sparkle Toms so decided to invest in a new ones. These showed up at my door yesterday. I think they will be good for now and into spring. I was out returning things from Christmas and ended up finding two pairs of designer jeans at Marshalls . Paige Denim Verdugo Ultra Skinny ...The tag says compare at $140 and I paid $50.  Add caption Marc Jacobs Lou Skinny Black Jeans...the original tags says $187 and I g...

Beds Bunked!

Image
Last summer, we moved Clyde to a twin bed and swapped Camille and Clyde's room. Read more about that switch here .  Around Christmas time, a family friend generously offered their train table to Clyde and with that addition his room was getting cramped.  We had been considering bunking his beds for a while and over the weekend we made the move. Here is a quick before shot...the train table isn't shown here but imagine a much larger table where the white table is in this picture. And after..... It is so much better! There is actually space to play. Now there is still some concern that someone may fall off the top bunk but so far so good. I found these adorable school chairs at Diversity Thrift today for $3 each!

New & Bright for Spring

Image
Buy this for spring! It is $8.80 and much more expensive looking! I am very impressed with the quality for less than $9. (Note...I purchased online so did have to pay shipping. I am not sure if they have it in  store but if you call your local store with the item number they can look it up.) I also found these bright blue jeans at Old Navy this week for $19. Mine had a slight flaw so I got an additional 10% off. Richmonders...the Willow Lawn Old Navy is sold out of a bunch of sizes. Here's to spring! We had snow and an almost 80 degree day within one week. Crazy weather!

Love of Jesus Thift

Image
On the same venture to Family Thrift , my mom and I also checked out For the Love of Jesus Thrift . I had heard about it on other blogs but needed to check the place out for myself. Here what I found. I spent about $20. And now to discuss the items in more detail.... First up, I found another frame just like the ones that I re-matted with my Diversity Thrift place mats. I really want to do a grouping of four of these frames since I have three more place mats. So now I just need to find one more frame. There must be one out there. Let me know if you come across it.  $8 Frame from Love of Jesus Thift. Free Frame from Family Friend After with Diversity Thift $50 Placemats. Next up the elephant.....I have seen elephant tables all over the Internet, Pinterest.com etc. And to continue with our elephant theme in Camille's room , I had to get this for $6. I am going to spray paint it, I just need to decide on the color. There was some...

$4.98 Necklaces!

Image
My mom and I were out "thrifting" this morning while Camille & Clyde were at school. We stopped at the Family Thrift Store on Midlothian Turnpike and I found two necklaces for $4.98 each. I am really excited about them. First up...this wooden bead necklace. My necklace from Family Thift $4.98  It reminds me of some that I have seen on etsy.com that are still affordable but more that my $4.98. Vintage Orange Wooden Necklace Wooden Necklace 2 I also found this multi-strand bead necklace. I really liked the color combination and the clasp. Not bad for $4.98. And speaking of jewelry, I am really liking the new line from Kayce Hughes. Check it out here. My mom and I also hit up Love of Jesus Thift Store . Check back tomorrow for what we found there.

Class and Trash

Image
I recently visited Class and Trash on  Route 1 in Hanover, VA. I had Clyde on my hip so I don't feel like I got the full experience. I will definitely be back. Here are some pictures from my visit. I took them with my cell phone so excuse the quality. Coffee Table $28. Loved the scale and side design. Thoght it would be cool painted. Dish $6 Tons of Glassware Kid's Chair $16 They even had toys! Clyde was interested but we left it in the store. $18 I liked the size and shape of these trays. Would be fun to paint a bright color. View of the upstairs. I could have spent hours there. It was lots of fun to look and the prices were good. Here is what I took home. White Vase for $6. Framed Painting for $15. Plan to use in Clyde's Big Boy Room.
