Even More Drugstore Favorites

I have done a couple posts on favorite drugstore beauty items. You can read more here and here. Today, I have even more to share with you from the poll I emailed out to my friends a few weeks ago.

Lindley has a very "green" approach to skincare. One of her favorites is Physicians Formula Organic wear 100% Natural Lash Boosting Mascara.

Lindley also uses Aura Glow instead of body lotion and loves it. I recently switched to Aura Glow on her recommendation and I really like it. It is an oil but soaks in immediately.

Augusta recommends the POND'S Clean Sweep Original Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes. She adds that they are also great for removing the festival and fair face paint from your kid's faces.

Brooke recommends Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. She writes..."My favorite item...and I have a few...is one that I found by accident. One day a while back, I had to go to dinner that evening and I was out of foundation with no time to run to Sephora, so I went to CVS and picked up the Maybelline "Fit Me" foundation just so I would have something to hold me over until I could go to the mall. 

To my surprise, the Fit Me foundation was awesome! It gave me plenty of coverage, stays on throughout the day, and it only cost around $6.00. Compared to my Make-Up Forever brand which cost 45.00, this was a great buy which I am still using a year and half later. 

Considering that I swore by my old foundation and had been using it religiously for the last 3 years, this was a pretty impressive product. Plus, it has made life so much easier because I can just pick it up on one of my regular trips to Target instead of having to head to Tyson's or Pentagon City just to get foundation. "  She gave such a good review, I decided to include it directly from her email. :)

And last but not least, Anne Wesley also recommends the e.l.f Powder Brush. So cheap for $3! I also have some of these e.l.f brushes and they hold up and work well.

Superhero Soccer Party

A few weeks ago, Clyde turned 4 and we celebrated at a local sports park, Scor . He wanted a superhero theme to go with the soccer party so I did my best to pull that off! First off, I purchased this clip art from Etsy. I was going to try to design the invitation myself but am lacking talent in that department so ended up getting local Elizabeth from Sunshine Ink Studio to create for me. Much cuter then what I pulled together.  For the cake, I ordered plain cupcakes with green polka dots from Kroger. The polka dots were far from what I had in mind but the kids didn't care! I ordered cupcake toppers using the same clip art from The Sister Studio . Camille & Clyde both got new shirts for the occasion. Clyde's batman shirt came from TwoTwoCute Designs on Etsy. Snow day....

Camille with my niece, Vail We woke up yesterday to an unexpected snow day! Woohoo! There is snow on the ground but I am thinking spring ! I tried on this cute dress at Kohl's earlier this week. It was more expensive in store than online! I left it in the store but am still thinking about it especially with the $32 price tag. Could be nice for Easter if it is chilly. Guest Post....Ashley from Perk! Pilates Fitness

Recently after my barre class, I decided that I could no longer wear my Forever21 workout leggings. They were uncomfortable and constantly falling down. I asked my one of my closest friends and pilates/barre instructor, Ashley, if she could recommend some reasonable workout wear.
