I think most of us feel a little overspent this time of year with Christmas presents, Christmas parties, babysitters. I found this website with some inexpensive meals to try this week.

Sunday - Easy Chicken Pot Pie
Monday - Chipolte Pork Soft Tacos Note...this uses such a small amount of Chipolte Peppers. I froze the leftovers peppers last time and will pull them out for this week's meal.
Tuesday - Homemade Chicken Pizza
Wednesday - Tortellini with Edamame & Smoked Sausage, French Bread
Thursday - Turkey Sliders or Burgers, French Fries

Superhero Soccer Party

A few weeks ago, Clyde turned 4 and we celebrated at a local sports park, Scor . He wanted a superhero theme to go with the soccer party so I did my best to pull that off! First off, I purchased this clip art from Etsy. I was going to try to design the invitation myself but am lacking talent in that department so ended up getting local Elizabeth from Sunshine Ink Studio to create for me. Much cuter then what I pulled together.  For the cake, I ordered plain cupcakes with green polka dots from Kroger. The polka dots were far from what I had in mind but the kids didn't care! I ordered cupcake toppers using the same clip art from The Sister Studio . Camille & Clyde both got new shirts for the occasion. Clyde's batman shirt came from TwoTwoCute Designs on Etsy. And Camille's is from CutiesTieDyeBoutique . They worked with me to do a chevron background to match the invitation. For the goodie bags, I purchased the red bags from the Dollar Tree . Snow day....

Camille with my niece, Vail We woke up yesterday to an unexpected snow day! Woohoo! There is snow on the ground but I am thinking spring ! I tried on this cute dress at Kohl's earlier this week. It was more expensive in store than online! I left it in the store but am still thinking about it especially with the $32 price tag. Could be nice for Easter if it is chilly. Deal found! Crocs!

Even though it is so cold we can't go outside and play for more than 5 minutes at a time and we may or may not be going stir crazy!  I am starting to think about spring. I found this post about 70% off at Crocs.com from athriftymom.com . After browsing, I decided to get these cute Crocs for Camille. They were on sale for $12.49. I searched here for coupon codes and ended up getting them for $9.99 after using a free shipping and 20% off coupon. What a steal!
