Sunday - Store bought Chicken & Mozzarella Ravolis (from BJ's) with store bought Vodka Sauce, bread Monday - Kickin Mini Meatloave s, Beans & Rice Tuesday - I am not sure! Michael did all the grocery shopping and menu planning this week. Woot! Woot! It was such a nice break for me and he said he was going to "wing it" at the store for this meal and then forgot! Ha! Oh well...still love him for going and putting away all the groceries! Wednesday - Chicken Tinga Tostados  (We made these once and they were so spicy we could barely eat them...so we have made some alterations to the recipe...you don't need a whole cans of chipolte peppers...that is enough to set you on fire!) Thursday - Company Christmas Party In other news...Tinsel has made his return to our house. And I found these at the Goodwill for $4.25 each. I looked and looked at them and another Goodwill shopper said to me "Those are cute. You want them. Put them in your cart. You will be sorry if yo...

Friday Catch Up & WELCOME!!

Image
Happy Friday Friends! So ok, before I get started on my topics for today ... I want to give a gracious welcome to all my NEW FOLLOWERS!! So glad you're here! Hope you stay a while ;)  I mean, lets be honest, I knew Erin was kind of a big deal in the blogsphere world... but I had no clue she was the "40 new followers in one day from a sponsorship shout out" kinda big deal!  Good grief, girl's got a fan base!!  And I am lovin' it!  So today I was working hard at the office ...  (Pic for all you really visual friends ha!) And started to feel like there was a brick in my head, then I couldn't swallow ... and got body aches ...  UGH PLEASE NO I CAN'T GET SICK!  So I left my office, and came home, took a 3 hour nap (I do not take naps during the day because I will officially be up all night now) but I def needed it apparently because I didn't blink an eye until Chris woke me up to make sure I was alive lol ... such a sweet fiance ;)  I still feel yucky...

Easy Update...Chandelier

Source Emily A Clark   Source Little Green Notebook Recently, I ran across two examples of updated lighting with more traditional chandeliers. Then a couple weeks ago, I ran across this post on Sadie + Stella  and thought that looks like a lot like my chandelier but with updated globe bulbs. So then I was inspired. Source Sadie+Stella Here is my chandelier before.... The burned out bulb adds to the before affect!  And after with the new globe bulbs.....   I am so happy with the change and how cheap at less than $6!

Guess who's back ladies? Christmas Dana... in Full Effect!  I have been trying so hard to make time to get our house in the proper "Christmas order" ... and I think I am finally almost there! It has not been an easy task I tell ya ... I just haven't had that Christmas spirit yet :( But now I do!! So here's what I'm workin with so far ...  Tree is done!  Thank you sweet little 8lb pound baby Jesus! ;) You really can't see it that great in this pic which is so sad because I used burlap this year and it's super cute! Burlap and red ribbon coming down and then burlap bows throughout ... I love burlap!  I will try to take some close ups this week and post later :)  Christmas pillows are out :)  Instead of doing my usual garland with lights up the staircase I tried something different this year  I did real wreaths, then stuck in some little pine cones and berrys that I got in a box of like 40 probably from Target ... and then tied some bows on and tied them ...

Elf Update ...

Image
You may remember our elf, Mr. Jingles ...  the kids love him... this year for some reason they actually are enjoying him more I think. Literally as soon as Jake opens his eyes he is ready to run around the house and look for him. If the girls wake up before us, I can hear them tip toeing around the house whispering "he's not in here, look in there, where is he??" ... haha it is hysterical! He is a sneaky little thing let me tell ya! The first day he appeared, he brought elf "friends" for the kids ... ones they can actually TOUCH and cuddle and play with. They carry them around everywhere, its cute! They walked into the Dining Room to eat breakfast before school and were SO surprised to see him!  How cute are those little elves?  They all named them ... Rosie, Lilly & Nugget haha He also brought letters from Santa!!!! Don't think he forgot my baby .... hahahahaha ;)  So now that he has arrived, he's been up to lots of stuff...  He hid in a glass in th...
