Anywho... for my brother's 21st Birthday I knew I wanted to get him an awesome cake. I knew it had to be something obviously to do with alcohol (duh) but a classy alcoholic looking cake... I had reservations about this because the last thing I wanted was to get a cake that looked cheesy or trashy because it had to do with alcohol. I know my brother would have been happy no matter what it looked like, but this cake surpassed my expectations and he LOVVVEEEDDD it!!

I purchased the little Maker's Mark shot bottles at Rite Aid and dropped them off at the cake place for them to incorporate into the cake. Then after we cut the cake, he got to keep those as mini-presents too ha.

My mom bought these candles that were crazzzyyy... you light them and they burn and crackle and crap just like a real firework, right on your cake. Was very pretty, but made my house smell like the 4th of July for about 30 minutes haha.

It was a great day, I feel like we celebrated his birthday for an entire week!
 But hey, that's ok, you only turn 21 once!

My mouth is salivating writing this, wishing I wouldn't have given all the left overs to him, but pool season is right around the corner and who am I kidding I would have eaten the whole dang thing if it were here. Can't wait until the next party or reason I get to order another cake!!!  Guess I will have to wait until June for Jake's birthday... hmmm...?? Maybe I can think of something sooner than that! ;)

A few weeks ago, Clyde turned 4 and we celebrated at a local sports park, Scor . He wanted a superhero theme to go with the soccer party so I did my best to pull that off! First off, I purchased this clip art from Etsy. I was going to try to design the invitation myself but am lacking talent in that department so ended up getting local Elizabeth from Sunshine Ink Studio to create for me. Much cuter then what I pulled together.  For the cake, I ordered plain cupcakes with green polka dots from Kroger. The polka dots were far from what I had in mind but the kids didn't care! Snow day....

Camille with my niece, Vail We woke up yesterday to an unexpected snow day! Woohoo! There is snow on the ground but I am thinking spring ! I tried on this cute dress at Kohl's earlier this week. It was more expensive in store than online! I left it in the store but am still thinking about it especially with the $32 price tag. Could be nice for Easter if it is chilly. Deal found! Crocs!

Even though it is so cold we can't go outside and play for more than 5 minutes at a time and we may or may not be going stir crazy!  I am starting to think about spring. I found this post about 70% off at Crocs.com from athriftymom.com . After browsing, I decided to get these cute Crocs for Camille. They were on sale for $12.49. I searched here for coupon codes and ended up getting them for $9.99 after using a free shipping and 20% off coupon. What a steal!
